FLORA'S GARDEN
In February 2021, we announced that we wanted to be a more environmentally friendly company. We are very happy because our project is starting to come to fruition.
One morning we toured this fabulous vegetable garden with the man who looks after it: Ernest. A visual and sensory visit with a passionate man. He takes care of it like it is his own.
You should know that the vegetable garden did not build itself in 2 years. It is a work that is done all year round, the preparation of the land, recovery of certain plants to replant them and give life to the garden for future years...
Our environmental touch?
- 100% natural compost
- Copper wire treatment in the stem to keep the natural side of the tomatoes
- Natural soil that brings a certain humidity
- An automatic watering system which in summer is fed by rainwater
- Some fruits and vegetables grow in our garden thanks to the compost made with kitchen waste
What can you find during your visit to our vegetable garden:
Vegetables: 150 tomato plants - 8 varieties and 2 new one’s next year, round and elongated zucchini, eggplant, peppers, cucumbers, squash, new potatoes, climbing green beans, round and normal carrots...
Fruit: strawberries, raspberries (in the process of branching out for next year) and wild plums.
Herbs and plants: rosemary, normal and lemon thyme, spearmint and peppermint, sage, cumin, anise, coriander, flat and curly parsley, lemon verbena, monarda (used in sauces or for its flower), Italian basil, Thai and black basil, long pepper and chili ...
You will also find flowers, which brighten up your cocktails and give a Floral touch to your dishes.
Today, our vegetable garden allows us to have very few purchases and to offer you tasty products.
Our ambition 'from garden to plate' has become a reality.
And it doesn't stop there! The wish to enlarge our vegetable garden is in progress and will see it nearly double in size next year.
So we are waiting for you to taste our dishes and vegetables from the garden.
See you soon
